Old VS New : A tale of Left Hand Twill EVIS 2101's

Here we have a pair of DEADSTOCK EVIS Lot 2101 Made in Japan up against the exact same pair with hand painted red lazy S's and 10 months worth of wear.

EVIS Lot 2501 Made in Japan

EVIS Lot 2501 (2001) Made in Japan. Another DEADSTOCK pair of pre-Levi Strauss lawsuit EVIS jeans this time in their staple 2501 cut. Interesting to note the patch has no identification on the type of denim it is (Either No.1 or No.2, most probably the latter). Comes with all the standard EVIS trimmings including the older lot number (deemed too close to the famous 501), EVIS red tab (again deemed to similar to the LEVIS red tab) and the Ebisu fishing patch.

EVISU No.1 Lot 2000 and 2001 Made in Japan

No.1 SPECIAL (14.5 oz un-sanforized denim) in the 2000 and 2001 cut's. Hand painted black gulls, its is generally recommended going 2 sizes up from your natural waist size to accommodate the massive amount of shrinkage you get from No.1 denim. The 2 different selvage lines denote the different batch's of denim (black selvage was the former and red is the current).
